Mejuri Small Hoops, £58
I try not to wear my jewellery in the shower or bath — while 14k solid gold jewellery can be showered and sweated in, it’s not recommended. However, it’s sometimes easy to forget, especially when pieces are as small and dainty as these mini hoops.
After a months of showering in these, these have shown no sign of tarnish. They are a bit fiddly to put on though, and I worry that they’ll snap if I’m too heavy-handed. Mejuri recommends not sleeping in these, either. If you share my concerns, go for Mejuri’s Single Mini Hoops, £45, as they have a slightly thicker clasp and can be slept in.

When in doubt, I’ve been reaching for this initial pendant necklace. It’s a simple yet classic design that elevates my usual stacked chains look. It’s also a great choice for an extra special gift.

Finally! Small-hoop, huggie earrings that I can attest are comfy enough to sleep in and easy to attach and detach. There are no fiddly or flimsy clasps here.

This is the Mejuri piece that earns me the most compliments. I’m not surprised — they’re bold, chunky and a unique update on the classic hoop. It feels solid but isn’t heavy to wear.

Mejuri Charlotte Bold Ring, £98
Mejuri’s Charlotte range strikes gold again. Even though it’s chunky, the grooved design is elegant and makes the ring look even more luxurious than it is. Most importantly, I’ve wet my ring several times while washing my hands or using hand sanitiser and it remains tarnish-free and gleaming.

The perfect wafer-thin stacker ring. Ideal for those who find wearing rings uncomfortable or who spend their days at a computer.

I’ve been on the hunt for some larger hoops that aren’t too heavy to wear all day. Some reviewers on Mejuri’s website complain about the weight of these but I had no problem.

This chain is so fine, I’m almost scared to wear it for fear of catching it accidentally. For other clumsy girls out there, thicker alternatives include the Double Curb Chain Necklace, £98, and the Bold Herringbone Chain Necklace, £148.

Silver jewellery fans, this is the ring for you. A statement in itself or as part of a layered look, it has a nice weight to it and is comfortable. Take care as it can scratch easily (and maybe avoid wearing it with any other abrasive rings).

Again, beautiful on but a little too thin and dainty for my liking. Instead, I have my eye on the thicker and more robust Double Curb Chain Bracelet, £68.

A thinner take on the classic signet ring, which can also be engraved. Personally, I’ve been loving the simplicity of a blank design.
