Is Milani’s Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer (whoo! that’s a mouthful) a woop or a womp?

Makeup Product Review: Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer

When I first heard about this product, I was like “For real?” I’m the type of person who thinks that foundation is foundation and concealer is concealer and believe me, I am more than familiar with both of them since I often use heavy duty concealer and corrector to hide those priceless designer bags under my eyes.

So when I stumbled across this Milani product, I knew I had to give it a try. If you’ve been looking for a foundation and concealer that won’t break your budget, Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer is the product you’re looking for.

With this full coverage, water-resistant foundation plus concealer, you’ll be able to combat and conceal undereye circles, redness, and other skin imperfections. This no-mess, no-drip pump dispenses the right amount of product needed to achieve a flawless, natural skin.

Retailing at only $9.99, this foundation and concealer duo is worth way more than the price. This product is also available in a 13 other shades and comes in a glass bottle.

I will note that I have combination skin: I’m oily on my T-Zone and dry everywhere else. I also have acne scars, redness and visible veins on my face. With this, I would definitely recommend using primer before applying the foundation. The primer I used here is Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer. Below is my bare skin, minus the brows and eye makeup.

After the Milani 2-in-1 Foundation.

Here’s an after photo with the Milani 2-in-1 product. I only used one and a half pumps to conceal my undereye area. I then set the foundation with RCMA No Color Powder and finished the rest of my makeup look with bronzer, blush and lipstick.

The consistency of the product is like mousse, not liquid and smells like clay. What I really liked about this product is the way it settled onto my skin–even with full coverage, the concealer didn’t look cakey. I used a kabuki brush to apply the product on my face since I initially tried using a damp sponge but wasn’t getting the coverage I wanted. This foundation also feels lightweight on the skin and lasts all day (I’ve used it five times since this review and nothing has changed). As for being sweat-proof, I didn’t do anything that made me sweat (like go to the gym). The foundation faded a (little) bit throughout the day but required no retouches.

Pros

  • I love the the coverage and finish of this formula
  • Definitely on the buildable side
  • Application is easy
  • Longevity is great; it slightly faded but still looked great throughout the day

Cons

  • It oxidizes so I would definitely recommend going one shade lighter
  • It creases into fine lines, especially crow’s feet and laugh lines

Overall, this product is pretty good for a drugstore foundation. It’s definitely worth the hype, so give it a try if you’re looking for a multipurpose product.
