Obviously inspired by the vintage feel of the bowling alley, the MAC It’s A Strike collection boasts of bold fall colors reminiscent of the 80s bowling scene and the electro-luxe hues of neon signs hanging incandescently by the milkshake bar.

I have always been a fan of MAC collections, they come up with the most beautiful selection of colors and their presentation is superb. This year’s fall collection is called It’s A Strike and it includes an assortment of lipsticks, eyeshadow, Cremesheen Glass, Fluidline pens, pearl matte face powder, and nail lacquer that pay homage to the 80s bowling scene. The inspiration taken from rootbeer floats and the fashion have created such a vivid atmosphere of nostalgia any 80s kid would be all too familiar with.

When you think of a bowling alley, you probably think of bold colors that pop out against each other, surprisingly MAC has come out with beautifully subdued colors perfect for fall. If they have not named this collection It’s A Strike, I would understand this as their fall collection right away. Colors like Bowl Out and Join My League are giving us all the neutral brown goodness of the bowling floors and with shades called Bowlarama and 300 Game transporting us to the retro vibe of the bowling arena. Each eyeshadow pan is sold at $16.

It would not be a bowling alley – inspired collection without gloss. I think it’s wonderful they came out with Cremesheen Glass colors that scream retro and fall. This reminds me of the fashion in a bowling game, the team jackets, the sneakers, all of them creating a wonderful cacophony of striking colors. The glosses are sold for $21 each.

Powder and Blush

The blushers Have A Lovely Day and Blind Score are lip and cheek cream pans that are highly blendable creating a natural-looking flush to your cheeks. Each blush is sold for $23.
