The year is almost over! Before you ring in the new one, you better make sure you already have the best high-end makeup of 2016!

I am a huge fan of drugstore makeup! I am a lover of ELF, L’Oreal, and Maybelline, to name a few. In fact, if you rummage inside my bag, you’ll find most of my makeup products are cheap. But once in a while, I splurge, and I have awesome friends and clients who love to spoil me with high-end makeup. 🙂 (To all of you, guys, much love!)

The Best High-End Makeup You Need Right Now…

You’ve been good this year. *wink* So why don’t you treat yourself with something nice? These are some of the recommended and well-loved luxury products available in the market. The price may be steep, but they’re excellent quality, so you get your money’s worth 100 percent. Please note, though, makeup products can change very fast. Better grab them before they’re lost perhaps forever!

1. SMASHBOX Studio Skin 15-Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation ($42)

|

Don’t be a hit and miss with your foundation. Get Smashbox Hydrating Foundation to avoid cakey, patchy skin after being exposed to the winter chill for a long time. True to its claim, it stays on your skin for a long time, and because it’s hydrating, it’s perfect if you have dry skin (which is pretty common during winter).

2. Urban Decay UDXX: 20 Years Of Beauty With An Edge Vintage Vault ($295)

|

If you haven’t started your UD collection, now is the perfect time. UD XX 20: Years of Beauty with an Edge Vintage Vault contains not just 5 or 10 high-end makeup products. It has more than 35! Can you imagine that? Take your pick from an extensive eyeshadow collection to lippies and nail colors. The biggest, sweetest catch? These are shades from 20 years ago! How’s that for nostalgia?

3. Pat McGrath Labs Metalmorphosis 005 Everything Kit ($350)

|

It’s never too late to go metallic with your holiday makeup! Glisten in bronze, copper, and even gold with a marker to add more sparkle, glam, and glitter to your look. You can apply it on your eyelids, cheeks, and practically any part of the body!

4. Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow Volumizing Gel ($31.99)

|

I call this the eyebrow makeup that just keeps on giving. This volumizing eyebrow gel is so easy to apply and creates a more uniform, fuller eyebrow. Best of all, it can help improve your eyebrow’s growth.

5. Laura Mercier Face Illuminator Powder ($44)

|

While the packaging reminds me of Mac x Mariah Carey’s My Mimi Finisher, I think it’s a lot better. Do you want to know why? There’s a highlighter for the most skin tones. It saves you the hassle of figuring out whether the illuminator powder will work for you or not. Not only that, it’s super buildable, so can go subtle of on-fleek with your highlight.

6. Tom Ford Patent Finish Lip Color in Exposed ($53)

|

This is perhaps one of the priciest lip stains I got for myself. I couldn’t just forget the first time it was released! I’m particularly in love with Exposed, which gives my lip enough shine. It’s long wearing, so more time spent on other things and less on touch-ups.

7. First Aid Beauty Hello FAB 3 in 1 Superfruit Color Correcting Cushion ($36)

|

When your skin needs rescue, there’s only one brand to remember: First Aid Beauty (FAB). This one is actually a color correcting cushion, which acts like a magical eraser, making your skin imperfections disappear (read: camouflage). When you open the pan, you’ll see a sponge of different colors. All shades matter. For example, pink evens your skin tone while purple deals with dullness, which can be expected now that you’re so stressed with prepping for the holidays.

8. Tarte Cosmetics tarteist™ PRO Amazonian Clay Palette ($53)

|

There’s a reason why I feature Tarte products often for the past year: this brand comes up with really good sensible makeup. Take this Pro Amazonian Clay Palette, for example. As its name suggests, it is clay infused, so it doesn’t crack when worn for long periods of time. It also prevents your skin from drying. It comes with a mixture of warm and a few cool shades, from sheen to primastic teal, so you can use this for all occasions and daily wear.

9. Giorgio Armani Eye Tint Eyeshadow ($42)

|

It’s hard to put on makeup and spend time in the kitchen. The heat will be your skin’s greatest enemy. But you can make it easier by getting this. It is crease free and smudge free. It also lasts for hours.

10. Hourglass Curator Lash Instrument ($78)

|

While I love Ambient, I love this even more. This is a mascara brush, but unlike the ones you see often, this doesn’t have bristles. Instead, it has an angled sleek tip to help you apply your mascara from top to bottom as evenly as possible.

11. Marc Jacobs Beauty About Last Night Style Eye Con No 20 Eyeshadow Palette ($99)

|

To get this is to have five mini collections of eyeshadow palettes with shades chosen for specific occasions. Saves you a lot of bucks, right? The lovely case gives this product extra points.

12. Kat Von D Everlasting Obsession Liquid Lipstick Collector’s Edition ($240)

|

My girls and I are pretty obsessed with Kat Von D Beauty makeup, especially its lipsticks. We can’t just get over at how defined and bold the colors are. But this collection tops all the other high-end makeup products the company sells. You get 15 of these uber-gorgeous lipsticks!

13. YSL BLUSH VOLUPTÈ Powder Blush In Heart Of Light ($42)

|

This product understands what every girl who likes a dewy look needs: a highlighter and a blush – that’s it! Handy, beautiful, and convenient to use.

14. Lancome Grandiose Extreme Wide-Angle Extreme Volume Mascara ($32)

|

I loved it before. I love it today. The bent wand is intended to make it easier for you to apply mascara from root to tip and create more volume and vibrancy to your lashes.

Hmm, maybe you’re thinking, “She forgot something!” Of course, I didn’t! Will I ever end the list without Mac. Mac has come up with amazing high-end makeup collections this year, but its Liptensity  line  is one of my favorites. Figure out why in this video:
